Second Mile Ministry was established in February 2012, as a part of North Pointe's call for an In-Reach Ministry. A ministry of our church specifically designed to reach-out to members who are no longer able to attend our worship services regularly, and keep them connected to their church familv. Some of our family are home bound, in nursing centers, rehab facilities, assisted living centers or have health issues that prevent them from attending regularly. A ministry of other North Pointe family now serving the needs of other members of North Pointe by making home visits, phone calls, sending cards, and providing special recognition of important occasions in their lives. Transportation is provided to those who no longer drive, to doctors visits, grocery shopping and other places
Second Mile Ministry is also dedicated to providing worship opportunities for our homebound by offering in-home worship by their partaking in the Lord's Supper with an ordained Minister or Deacon.
The scripture that represents this ministry is;
Gal. 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
